When Kat stated specific intrusive thought examples I sobbed because there are some I have told my therapist and some I thought were too bad to even speak aloud. I was never sure if people were just placating me when saying these thoughts are normal, but to have someone stating examples really made me believe that for the first time. For the first time since I've started having intrusive thoughts, I feel like I am normal and there is hope.

Hearing that my intrusive thoughts are normal made the most difference for me. Learning that they do not mean anything about my character helped me as well. I liked learning to call them party crashers and the 4 steps I can take for an action plan.
