"When Kat stated specific intrusive thought examples I sobbed because there are some I have told my therapist and some I thought were too bad to even speak aloud. I was never sure if people were just placating me when saying these thoughts are normal, but to have someone stating examples really made me believe that for the first time. For the first time since I've started having intrusive thoughts, I feel like I am normal and there is hope."
"Hearing that my intrusive thoughts are normal made the most difference for me. Learning that they do not mean anything about my character helped me as well. I liked learning to call them party crashers and the 4 steps I can take for an action plan. Basically I loved the whole course! :)"
"Everything was helpful, I love the videos included, I think videos are a great and interesting way to learn new information. I like that the information was not provided in a boring way. I read and watch everything with enthusiasm"

Kat Tumblin Green, Licensed Psychologist, PhD ABPP
When I tell people I love what I do, I’ve had many ask, “But isn’t it so hard or sad?” The truth is, there are a lot of really challenging, difficult things associated with OCD, anxiety disorders, ADHD, and other mental illnesses. But the reason I love what I do is because there are interventions and things that really work! It’s amazing to see the hope that people feel as they better understand their experience in the framework of research-supported approaches and inspiring to see people regain confidence, relationships, and activities as they put the principles to work. I always feel so privileged to be part of the process and recognize that the most important thing I can do is make sure people have access to helpful, research-supported information to support them in their journey!
I am a board-certified, licensed psychologist with dual specializations in OCD and anxiety disorders for kids, teens and young adults, as well as ADHD and other behavior concerns in younger kids. I completed my PhD in clinical psychology at Brigham Young University, followed by a two-year post-doctoral fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children’s Hospital specialized in OCD, anxiety, and ADHD. I have a small private practice in southern Utah, have been known to teach university courses, am growing my company Back In Charge to promote training and information about evidence-based treatment, am a mediocre pickleball player, and love spending time with my family.
